Carrier Community successfully hosted its exclusive CC-Global Awards (CCGA) ceremony, attracting over 200 members who joined the prestigious event. Held at the renowned Metropol venue in Berlin on June 27th, the 7th annual CCGA celebrated the exceptional accomplishments of leading telecommunications companies from around the world.
Prominent industry players such as Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier, Expereo, Horisen, Sparkle, China Mobile International, iBasis, Orange Global Carriers, ZOI, China Unicom, Bankai Group, e&, and Telefonica Global Solutions were among the recipients of the CC-Global Awards. These awards acknowledged the remarkable innovations and achievements of telecom wholesale operators and ecosystem partners, independently evaluated by a panel of telecom analysts and industry experts.
With over 50 categories and 40 deserving winners, the event garnered significant attention, attracting more than 200 physical and virtual participants. For those unable to attend the ceremony at Metropol Berlin, a live broadcast allowed them to be part of the experience.
The occasion served as a unifying platform, bringing together both regional and global operators to honor exceptional accomplishments and recognize the industry’s finest players. Noteworthy accolades included Orange International Carriers being nominated as the “Best Global Operator of the Year,” Omantel receiving the “Best Subsea Cable Operator of the Year” award, and Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier being honored as the “Central Eastern European Regional Operator of the Year.”
Prominent and influential C-Level players of the global telecom network in attendance included Nabil Baccouche, CEO at e&, Rolf Nafziger, CEO at Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier, Emmanuel Rochas, CEO at Orange International Carriers, Alexandre Pébereau, CEO at iBasis, and Budhi Satria Dharma Purba, CEO at Telin and CCGA CEO of the Year 2023.
Following the ceremony, CC members and partners were invited to a Networking Cocktail Reception at Metropol, courtesy of Deutsche Telekom Global Carrier and IPB. The reception featured delectable food and drinks, a DJ, and a captivating live show.
Expressing her delight, Wida Schmidt, the CEO of CC, conveyed her gratitude to all the attendees who made the CC-Global Awards Ceremony 2023 (CCGA) a resounding success.
