E-shelter is pleased to inform you about our recent expansions in Frankfurt and Amsterdam.
In the Frankfurt area, the company acquired an additional data center site which will be the fourth location within the Frankfurt region. The expansion comes as a result of strong customer demand from existing and prospective customers and, once fully developed, will support up to 60 MW of IT load. This is in addition to the three sites e-shelter already operates across the region which have a total capacity of 300 MW, including Europe’s largest data center campus, Frankfurt 1.
Beyond the continuous expansion in Frankfurt, e-shelter is also pleased to announce the development of its first data center in the Netherlands. The new facility, “Amsterdam 1 Data Center,” will be built out in four phases of 4,000 sqm of IT space each, and will follow e-shelter’s successful business model of offering both wholesale and retail colocation services, along with hybrid IT enterprise solutions. Phase one of this development is scheduled to serve its first customers in early 2019. As with all data centers, the company will continue to offer customers and partners a wide range of flexible and scalable services, carrier neutrality through multiple carriers, and a variety of cloud connectivity options.
Both the Frankfurt and Amsterdam developments mark an exciting period for e-shelter. The entry into the Dutch market specifically, emphasizes e-shelter’s position as a leading international provider of colocation services and access points to the cloud marketplace in Europe.
