Telecom Egypt’s Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Eng. Ashraf Abdeen as Executive Vice President, Chief International & Wholesale Officer, effective November 1, 2026, as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its executive leadership and accelerate strategic growth.
Since joining Telecom Egypt in 2005, Ashraf has been a driving force behind TE growth and success. Most recently in 2022, as Senior Director of International Business unit, He successfully led the expansion of our International and regional footprints, developed deep expertise in international telecommunications, digital infrastructure, and strategic business development and consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and dedication to our core values.
Throughout his leadership of Telecom Egypt’s international business, Abdeen has played a pivotal role in driving substantial revenue growth, expanding the company’s international business portfolio, and strengthening strategic partnerships with leading global telecommunications operators, hyperscalers, and digital infrastructure partners.
His contributions have spanned several strategic business areas, including international carrier services, global connectivity, subsea cable infrastructure, and data centers. These efforts have supported Telecom Egypt’s continued expansion in the global connectivity ecosystem and reinforced Egypt’s strategic position as a major digital connectivity hub connecting Africa, Asia, and Europe.
In this new executive role, Ashraf will oversee international and wholesale businesses, with a focus on accelerating sustainable growth, strengthening strategic partnerships, optimizing the value of the company’s infrastructure assets, and further enhancing its competitive position across domestic and international markets, He will report directly to the Managing Director & CEO of Telecom Egyptand join the executive leadership team to help shape the future direction of our company.
